🤿 Mask Safety & Dive Essentials
Equalising Your Mask: As you descend, gently exhale through your nose into the mask to equalise pressure and avoid mask squeeze. This is especially important when diving beyond a few metres.
Jumping from Boats or Heights: Always place your palm firmly on the front of your mask and hold it in place with your fingers spread across the skirt. This keeps your mask secure and prevents water from forcing it off on impact.
Buddy System: Always dive with a partner. Keep an eye on each other, communicate clearly, and never push depth or breath-hold limits alone. Ocean safety starts with respect and responsibility.
Defogging: Use a mask ocean friendly defog solution before diving to keep your vision clear.
🐟 Mask Care
Rinse After Every Use: Use fresh water to rinse away salt, sand, and sunscreen. Avoid letting saltwater dry on your mask or snorkel.
Dry Completely: Allow to air-dry in a shaded area before storing. Avoid direct sun exposure when not in use.
Store Smart: Keep your mask and snorkel in a cool, dry place.
Avoid Chemicals: Never use alcohol, acetone, or harsh cleaners on the lens or silicone.
Our Swimwear is made up of lots of tiny fibres all woven tightly together and when in contact with rough surfaces damage can occur. Usually this is bobbling, which occurs when there are tiny pulls and breaks in the fibers.
It is possible to avoid these issues by being mindful of the surfaces and materials you come into contact with, such as the edge of a swimming pool, gravel, rocks on the beach that would be covered in tiny barnacles (these are sharp).
Washing your Swimwear
Hand wash your swimwear.
When it comes to washing your swimwear , less is more. We advice you to limit the amount of washes to give your swimwear a longer life. When you do wash your swimwear insure you do not use bleach or harsh chemicals that could fade your products or damage the materials as well as impacting marine wildlife.
